MM lists two industrial safety helmet models, and each comes with or without ventilation. The choice between them is mostly about how the headband adjusts, and where the helmet will be worn.
CH01: ratchet type
The CH01 is listed as a ratchet type with push-and-pull adjustment: the headband tightens or loosens with the helmet on, so one helmet fits a crew that changes shift. The 2026 catalogue lists it at 345 g approx. It is listed with ventilation and without.
CH02: nape type
The CH02 is the lighter shell, at 300 g approx., and it too is listed with ventilation and without. MM’s 2022 brochures list both models with an easy-adjust headband in either type, push-and-pull ratchet or 6-hole nape: the nape band is set at the back of the head and stays put once fitted.
What both share
Both shells are HDPE or ABS, fit head sizes from 53 to 63 cm, and carry a 6-point suspension harness with a cushion pad and an adjustable polyester chin strap in soft-weave terylene webbing. A replaceable terry towelling sweatband is optional. MM names Directive 89/686/EEC, Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Directive 2014/35/EU, BS EN 397:2012+A1:2012 and BS EN 50365:2002 for both, as stated by MM.
Vented or not
Ventilation holes let air through the shell, which matters for long shifts in the sun on a deck or a yard. Where the helmet is worn near live electrical work, buyers often specify the unvented shell; ask MM which of the two suits the site.
With a lamp
MM also lists a safety helmet with a lamp for work where the hands must stay free of a torch.

The helmets are shown in yellow; MM lists them in red, blue, yellow, white, orange, green and grey, with a suggested wearer for each colour on the product pages. Name the colour and the standard your site requires when you ask us with your quote; approvals named are as stated by MM Techno Plast.
