Marine Electronics & Communication

Communication.

The Alinco DJ-VX46 is a handheld UHF FM transceiver on the PMR446 channels, with an IP67 body, for short-range talk across a boat, a harbour or a site. It is not a marine VHF radio and cannot reach marine channel 16, so it does not replace one for distress calls: see safety equipment for a fishing boat.
